Labour Councillors won't condemn motorway protests

At the December Full Council meeting, Stevenage Labour Councillors chose not to condemn illegal and dangerous motorway protests, despite them disrupting thousands of people trying to get to work, delaying ambulances and causing car accidents.

A Conservative motion, put forward by Cllr Phil Bibby CC and Cllr Bret Facey, called out the damage done by illegal motorway protests carried out by extremists. Unfortunately, the Conservative motion was opposed by ALL of Stevenage's Labour Councillors

A Labour Councillor representing the Old Town even chose to speak in favour of the disruptive motorway protests which caused delays affecting tens of thousands of people just trying to get to work and do their jobs. Stevenage Conservatives will always be on the side of working people.

It is clear that some Labour Councillors in Stevenage have not moved on from Jeremy Corbyn's era of petty left-wing student politics.
