Bedwell By-Election: NO TO FLAT BLOCK DEVELOPMENTS ON GARAGES

The Labour Council’s policy of building flats on garage blocks has only worsened the chronic lack of car parking in Bedwell. Garages in Dunn Close (pictured above) have already been demolished to support Stevenage Labour’s ambition to squeeze yet more and more flats onto every spare stretch of ground in our town. These flats will lead to more cars being parked in Bedwell’s streets, making parking even harder.

Rather than destroying existing parking areas, Bedwell needs a Councillor who will maintain, improve and increase residential parking in our neighbourhoods. Matthew Wyatt, if elected, will champion more residential parking and will oppose the Council’s plans to cram more flats on the sites of existing garage blocks.
